Walnut oil antioxidant TBHQ

It is soluble in ethanol, acetic acid, ethyl ester, isopropanol, ether, and oils, and is almost insoluble in water.Tertiary butylhydroquinone, abbreviated as TBHQ, was approved as a food additive by the US FDA in 1972 and later by other countries around the world. The tert butanol method is widely used and can be catalyzed by strong acids such as concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated phosphoric acid. Both domestic and foreign patent literature have reported this process, such as using toluene or xylene as solvents, the selectivity and yield of this reaction are relatively ideal.

6. Safety: Its acute toxicity layer is low toxicity level.

7. grease solubility: soluble in animal and vegetable fats and oils, easy to add and use.

Caveat

TBHQ should be fully soluble and evenly dispersed in fats and oils, otherwise the antioxidant effect will be impaired.

Some organic acids and their coolants can enhance the activity of TBHQ. It is better to mix with 0010.02% citric acid.
